How do I know the value of my work in this crazy world?

I recently had some experiences that threw into relief just how extreme, and different our lives and situations can be. It was jarring. Ridiculous wealth, hard working everyday contributions, social justice and radicals, small businesses – real people, good people do all of these. And the situations, differentiations are bizarre and shocking at times.

What did I come to?

I am a practice.
If I do my practice, I am really living.
All the ways I do my practice are valuable.  
It is my practice that I am beholden to, in honoring my life
If I do my practice, I am making a difference.

Each according to his measure. This is where I am beholden. My gifts and contributions in life. This is where my efforts lie. It takes great courage not to talk about the whole. But be here. Opening my frontier
